The temperature in the summer months can reach into the forties, and the high humidity on the coast the can become quite uncomfortable. The Cypriot people have learned to deal with the heat, by closing the shutters on their homes, keeping the sunshine out and the cool inside, taking leisurely lunches and long naps to avoid the heat of the day. Oh if only!!! Today most people in Cyprus have air conditioning units for the summer, and gas central heating for the winter. Cyprus HomeCare has become involved in the installation, servicing and maintenance of this specialist equipment. We employ qualified, skilled tradesmen to carry out these tasks for us. Installation We prefer to supply the air conditioning units ensuring that a good quality units are purchased (there are a lot of cheap and nasty ones out there trust me!) This shouldn’t lead to problems later on with faulty units. Most new homes have the provisions already installed generally these are ok, but sometimes very thin cheap gas lines are installed and the condense drains are not correctly connected, leading to leaky units and damp problems. We will survey the installation and with a little luck use the supplied provisions the units are then coupled, fixed and commissioned. Servicing We carry out a full service. This will include; Cleaning of all the filters and cooling cores. Disinfecting them to stop any nasty bugs and smells. Inspection of mechanical moving parts and lubricating as necessary. Inspection of the condense drain to check for ease of flow and blockages. Total inspection of the outdoor compressor unit. Testing gas pressures. Re-gassing systems as required ( Gas is charged as extra) Repair Our engineers are qualified to repair systems.
