Terms and Conditions

Quotations

 

All quotations are calculated for materials, labour and VAT as a final figure.

Quotations that have been accepted by the client are fixed and non negotiable.

Initial quotations are free of charge, however we will charge for the breakdown of quotations which use office time.

We reserve the right to charge for large project quotations which require extra research and or resources.

Any work above and beyond our quotation will charged as extras.

Any changes in type or quality of materials or accessories, by the client will be charged for accordingly.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the quotation date.

 

Retention of title.

All equipment belongs to Cyprus HomeCare until full and final payments are made whether they are fixed to the property or not.
Deposit fees are non refundable after 14days of booking and last minute Cancellations will result in the loss of any deposits paid.

Once the project has been accepted by the client and work has commenced second stage payments will be due within 24/48 hours of the start of the project.

Deposits paid to us will be given as a ‘go ahead’

Verbal, E-mail, Written instructions will be accepted as a ’go ahead' for projects and regarded as full acceptance.

In the event of cancellations whether by the client or Cyprus HomeCare deposit fees will be lost once the project has been accepted and work has commenced any materials will still belong to Cyprus HomeCare.

Any unnecessary delays causing financial losses whether by the client or other trades employed by the client will be charged for as an extra.

 

Payments

All payments will be paid within the payment schedules as directed on quotations.

Full and final payments are due on the day of completion.

Late payments will be charged at 1.5%.

Non payments may result in the de- commissioning of installed equipment and may also lead to the recovery of materials that are the property of Cyprus HomeCare whether they are attached to the property or not, by accepting our quotation you automatically agree to our terms and conditions and if recovery is necessary then access to private property is automatically given by the client.

In the event of non payment we reserve the right to report the client to the Cyprus Trades Association.

In the event of complete non compliance we will need to prosecute.

Guarantees

All work carried out by by Cyprus HomeCare is guaranteed for one year unless otherwise stated, providing that all payments have been made and that systems have not been tampered with. This guarantee does not cover materials due to the fact that we did not manufacture such materials. We will however do our upmost to select the best quality from the range available on the Cyprus market some of the products we use come with a manufacturer warranty.

Central Heating installations

The supply and installation of the heating equipment is guaranteed as follows:

5 year manufacturer warranty for BAXI boilers.

3 years warranty for the radiators

2 years for the mechanical installation (pipework) and electrical wiring from the installation date.

The gas cylinder is covered by the gas company you have the contract with.

 

Our central heating warranty only covers full installations carried out and commissioned by Cyprus HomeCare Providing that all payments have been made and that the equipment has not been tampered with or modified in any way or given form. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by thunderstorms, over voltage transients or abnormalities present within the electrical supply to the installed equipment.

This equipment is not guaranteed if the equipment is not serviced annually by a qualified engineer.

This equipment is not covered in the event of damage caused by living creatures, earthquakes or natural disasters.

If the property had 'provisions' installed by others ie, electrical and pipe works then we cannot guarantee the 'provisions'.

 

Pressure pumps and systems

We only use good quality pumps and controllers for our pressure systems and replacements. The warranty is for 2 years provided that the pump is covered ( we do not always provide a cover, please ask for prices ) and that the pump has not been run dry from water shortages or run without its impeller cover. The warranty does not cover the pump being run without a water supply in the event that the main supply valve has failed or is switched off. The pump is also not covered by flooding of flat roofing ( make sure your roof drains are clear). The pump is also not covered if it has been effected by thunderstorm activity or over voltage transients. The pump is not covered if had been tampered with.

 

The pump is likely to 'stick'  due to infrequent use mostly this happens in holiday homes and all pressure pumps do this. We will charge for call-outs to this problem.

 

Solar systems and pressure systems

We only use good quality equipment for our solar systems these come with a five year warranty( from our manufacturer) unless otherwise stated.

pressure cylinders are not covered if the expansion vessel has blown or the pressure relief valve has seized or the incorrect pump has been installed.  

We cannot be held responsible for existing installed pipes that are pressurized even if a pressure reducing / regulating valve is fitted it is also recommended that temperature regulating valves are installed ( this is upon request).

Servicing and maintenance

We will not accept the responsibility for poor workmanship prior to our visit and will not inherit previous problems as our own. We will happily give you quotations for remedial works needed.

 

Air conditioning installations

The installation of air conditioning equipment is guaranteed for 2 years from the installation / purchase date providing that all payments have been made and that the equipment has not been tampered with. Your Cyprus HomeCare warranty will only cover the installation and supporting materials that we have supplied and fitted except for the air conditioning unit that is covered by the manufacturer warranty. (See below)

 

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by thunderstorms, over voltage transients or abnormalities present within the electrical supply to the installed equipment. The Air conditioning units are not guaranteed if the equipment is not serviced annually by a authorized engineer and proof provided by either a record card or book signed off complete with a receipt.


If the air conditioning and electrical provisions have been installed by others we cannot guarantee the existing refrigeration pipes  or electrical cables however, we will to the best of our capability test the provisions and  use them accordingly. We will not be held responsible for blocked or incomplete condense drains. We will not be held liable for malicious damage caused by others, re-gasses etc will be charged for.

 

Inventor  Air conditioning Manufacturer warranty

There is a separate  5 year Manufacturer Warranty you will need to register your warranty here  for it to be activated. Download and read the warranty terms and conditions from the associated registration page.

 

 If we need to replace components due to manufacturer malfunctions we reserve the right to charge for the costs involved in remedial works.

Air conditioning servicing

Minimal 'Top ups’(up to 50 grams of refrigerant for 9 & 1200btu units and 100 grams for 18 & 2400btu units) are included in the service price however larger 'Top ups' or ‘re-gasses’ will be charged as extra.

Any repairs that are needed are not included in the service fee and will be charged as extra.

We will not accept the responsibility for poor workmanship prior to our visit and will not inherit previous problems as our own. We will happily give you quotations for remedial works needed.

We will not accept the responsibility for faulty condense drains or damage caused by them, unless we have fitted the condense drain and /or unit our selves.

‘Loyalty Rewards’ only apply if the units have been serviced annually and serviced by Cyprus HomeCare.

Service books may be taken with you to your new property and the scheme continued but only in the same name as displayed on the back page with a full signature.

 ‘Customer Referral Rewards’ only apply when the referral customer has entered into a planned maintenance agreement with Cyprus HomeCare.

Cyprus HomeCare may add extra service rewards at our own discretion.     

The servicing details described are for wall mounted split domestic systems only. Please contact us about floor & ceiling type units.

This book is copyrighted and licensed to Cyprus HomeCare and may only be used by Cyprus HomeCare or its operatives.

You must make sure that the service book is filled in and signed by the engineer  who carried out the service.

Painting, Decorating, and Damp-proofing

We will not be held responsible for damage and defects caused by natural disasters or previous poor building standards. We will to the best of our knowledge inform you about any foreseeable problems.

Traveling to other Cyprus towns

We reserve the right to charge for traveling to other towns and cities.

 

We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions.

 

Complaints

If you have any complaints or issues about the level of service given then you must contact us within 24hours in wrighting so we can deal with it professionally.
